About Me
Art has always been the thing. I was that kid who made elaborate dioramas for fun and accidentally covered the dining table in glue. When my school cut the art program, my mom found a class in the attic of a church with a woman named Miss Lisa (shoutout), and that’s where I got properly hooked on making stuff. High ceilings. Low lighting. Religious undertones. Maximal glue stick energy.
These days, I live and work in beautiful Burlington, Vermont, where I make small-batch pottery out of my apartment and community studio. Mostly mugs, bowls, and functional little guys with personality. Everything’s hand-thrown, glazed slow, and fully allowed to be a little weird. I’m not here for perfection. I’m here for the kind of object that makes you feel something when you pick it up…ideally comfort, but awe is also valid.
I grew up in the Boston ‘burbs of Massachusetts in a creative household: my mom studied art therapy, my dad makes things. I would love to specify what he makes, but the list would go on forever. Like seriously, if you can think of it, he will make it. I eventually got a degree in Environmental Studies, which I do in fact use… kind of. A lot of my work is inspired by the landscape, birds, animals, and the general vibe of lying in the grass and realizing you’re just a speck. But, like, in a cozy way.
I’m also just in love with art. All of it. I go to art museums like it’s my job (it’s not), and I believe deeply that art is everywhere. Not just on pedestals or gallery walls, but in the mug you reach for in the morning, the weird rock you keep in your pocket, the napkin doodle you accidentally got attached to. Art makes life softer, louder, and more livable. Making it has helped my mental health more than any planner, productivity app, or self-help podcast ever could. It keeps me grounded and weird and okay.
When I’m not throwing clay, I’m probably outside, wandering around, drinking something with a straw, or hanging out with my friends talking about the exact same thing for three hours.
Thanks for being here.
